WILTSHIRE HORN SIRED LAMBS FROM D & T WILLIAMS TAKE NATIVE CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP AT RFM CHRISTMAS FATSTOCK SHOW

A successful day for the Wiltshire Horn and the Williams Brothers (Manor Flock)

Their pen of Wiltshire Horn sired lambs taking the “Native Sired Lambs” Championship at the Rugby Farmers Mart Christmas Fatstock Show held on 5th December.

Tim and David Williams’ entries were placed in both classes of the Native Sired Lambs Section.  In the Light Weight pen of three class they were placed 2nd with Wiltshire Horn cross lambs and 4th with pure breed Wiltshire Horns.

Their Champion pen of three won the Heavy Weight class with Wiltshire Horn cross lambs weighing 46kgs, going on to be sold for £109 to local butchers Hilltop Farm Shop of Hunningham.

A great day for the Wiltshire Horn breed showing that the Wilt can compete in a commercial environment against stiff competition from other mainstream native breeds.
